End of Day
End of Day Processing
End of Day is an essential step in closing your business day. It not only signals to the POS system that operations are finished, but also runs important housekeeping tasks such as backups, system maintenance, and report preparation.
Why End of Day is Important
- Data Integrity & Security
Regular backups protect your business against data loss or corruption. End of Day ensures the day’s transactions and other key data are safely stored.
- System Maintenance
Clears temporary data, resets system states, and prepares your POS for the next day’s operations.
- Operational Accuracy
Confirms that all transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled, helping to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Compliance & Reporting
Keeps records up to date for audits, financial regulations, and internal reporting.
Note: While not mandatory, running End of Day daily is strongly recommended to keep your system protected and accurate.
How to Run End of Day
When exiting the POS, you will be prompted to either:
- Quit POS
- End of Day
- Return to the POS

Choose End Of Day.
