Cost Hierarchy

Ramsys automatically records and maintains a detailed cost structure. Costs are entered during the stock receipting stage, where the operator confirms the cost, whether in foreign exchange or local currency. These costs are recorded, allowing users to review price fluctuations over time at any time, both in local and foreign currencies. These recorded costs are used to calculate the average and last costs in the database, representing the values per item for each location.

These costs from the location table are then consolidated into the Stock Master, which provides the last and average cost of the item across the entire company.
