Park Sale
What is a Park Sale?
A Park Sale allows a transaction to be temporarily set aside (or “parked”) without finalising it. This is useful when a customer is not yet ready to complete the sale, for example, they may wish to continue browsing, confirm payment details, or add more items later. Parked sales can be recalled and completed at any time.
Why is it useful?
- Enables smoother workflow during busy periods
- Prevents holding up the POS terminal or delaying other customers
- Allows flexibility for customers who need more time
- Sales staff can begin preparing orders or gathering items while the customer finalises their purchase
Documents Generated
When a Park Sale is created, Ramsys can generate two types of documents, depending on your business needs:
Park Receipt
- A simple printed record indicating the sale has been parked
- Shows items selected and their prices
- Not a final invoice or proof of payment
- Helps staff and customers track the sale
ProForma Invoice
- A ProForma Invoice is a formal quote or estimate
- It lists the items, prices, and totals as if it were a final invoice
- It is not a tax invoice and should not be used for accounting or GST purposes
- Useful for business customers needing a quote before confirming the order or arranging payment
- Can be used for approvals or internal purchase requests.
- As with any Ramsys report this document may be saved/Emailed or printed dirctly from the application.
Why Use a ProForma Invoice?
- Provides a clear breakdown of the expected costs
- Helps customers prepare purchase orders or secure internal approval
- Avoids confusion by separating pending sales from completed transactions
- Maintains professionalism in customer communications
